As for the monitor issue ive found that the mac cinema displays havent been updated in nearly 4 years! Which means they are way behind the times on reaction speed though they look good with the macs and opperate well enough for the general market to not notice a difference you will probably notice some blurring if you move a window too quickly or pan too quickly on a mac. This seems to be the consensus of the market for it. Back to the gamming aspect the acceptable response time for a gamming monitor is between 2ms and 9 ms, preferably 5-7 and the mac runs and nearly double this response speed.
