On Win64 it works well, no problems at all. But i had problems when i tested it on an old laptop with Win32 Vista installed. Maybe you'll need to restart the computer to have the icon updated, or maybe there's something else to do to 'ping' the OS to refresh the icon, but I don't know this part.
